I am proud to share that I have just successfully built my first autonomous AI agent!
It has been a steep learning curve. Here are a few of the things I learned …
- Having a real-life use case around a real-life pain point helps a lot (also to justify to your family the time and effort you put in).
- Giving AI access to your accounts and paid services is like giving your car keys to a high school student on speed. Keep an eye on it! Seriously!
- You need to have a good understanding of the processes, workflows, and tools used … before you let AI use them autonomously. Competence and understanding cannot be delegated.
- Be patient with yourself. For non-techies like me, getting started can be difficult and tiring … but it’s also not rocket science and with focus you will learn quickly.
- Be patient with the machine … you will see what I mean once you start the journey yourself. 😉
- It can be fun to reach a better understanding of AI agents’ capabilities, how they work, and what they can and cannot do. By doing, you might learn more than in any course on theory and concepts.
